Stefan Oeter

Stefan Oeter is professor of German law, comparative public law, and public international law at the University of Hamburg, where he has served since 1999. He earned his law degree from the University of Heidelberg and was a research fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law from 1987 to 1997. He is a member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration at The Hague and a member of the Academy of Sciences in Hamburg. His current research interests include minority protection and human rights law, law of armed conflict, and theories of international law.
