Cheyney Ryan

Cheyney Ryan is a Senior Fellow of the Carnegie Council; a Fellow of Oxford University’s Institute for Ethics, Law, and Armed Conflict; and a Professor of Law at the University of Oregon. He has published widely on issues of war and peace, most recently “Democratic Duty and the Moral Dilemmas of Soldiers” in Ethics (October 2011), and is a recipient of the Joseph J. Blau Prize from the Society of Advancement of American Philosophy. His current project is on the ethical and political foundations of pacifism.
